A Sea of Boxes

See….a sea.

There were more than that, I am pretty sure.  They just kept bringing stuff in.  It was so much.  Overwhelming really!  Enter super sister, Katie Schwartz.

Katie dove right in and started unpacking, organizing, and even convinced me to get rid of stuff.  She was amazing!!!  A rock…my rock.  I could never have made as much progress as I did without her help…support, love, everything.  Not only did she get things moving and done, she kept me sane.  We unpacked from 10 am to 9 pm.  Only a handful of boxes remanded at the end of the day.  We celebrated by hanging the cute garland Kelly sent.  Precious woman!

We also had the help of my friend Wendi.  She dove right in, too, and helped keep things moving.  It means so much that she flew out to show her support and get her hands dirty.  I would most likely still be looking at boxes without her help.

Bad news is there was quite a bit of damage to my things.  I am working through a claim with the moving company so we shall see if I get anywhere.  I have tons of pictures, but here are just a few.

What’s done is done.  Moving on.

Katie and I spent the rest of the evening eating pizza, drinking wine and watching The Whole Nine Yards…the only movie I had.  Remember…no cable.  We even made a mad dash to the spirits store on the first floor when we realized it closed in 4 minutes.  We made it!!  Happy Birthday to me!!

A week later and I am completely unpacked.  I am feeling settled and ready to get out and about in Denver.  Up next:  my first week in review.

  1. I think this is so exciting Leslie! When Sharon told me you were moving to Denver, I was so happy for you. Looks like you are getting settled in nicely. How great that you and Katie got to do this together! I wish you all the very very best in this new chapter. Can’t wait to read more. 🙂
