Of course Friday night Kathryn and I had a much needed ladies night, and Saturday I spent some long overdue time with my cousin.  On Sunday, though, I hit the pool to do my best to get some color and then joined some of my new friends for grilling fun in the courtyard at the apartment complex.

The apartment has grills at the pool and they also have grills and nice lounge furniture just outside the leasing office.  It’s gated and also just outside a club room with a pool table, a large screen TV and a kitchen area for entertaining.  You can rent the space for free as a tenant.  On this particular day we hadn’t rented it, but it was available so we took it over.  We brought sides and main dishes for grilling and some libations to kick the night off right.  It was a small group, about 10 of us, but a perfect laid back holiday weekend night.

As the weather has warmed up this week and weekend I have noticed it gets pretty crowded.  Lots of people grilling and having dinner at the umbrella’d patio tables.  It’s a pretty cool little atmosphere.
