Could this be my first day of homesickness?  Maybe.  Yes, yes it is.  Today is my eldest nieces Birthday…the first born, my name sake, the bean!  Happy Bithday, precious Brecken Michelle!

I likely wouldn’t have seen her today anyway, but this weekend the family will convene for gift giving, cake and singing.  Tear.  She opened my gifts tonight, except for some shoes that haven’t arrived.  I gave her a swim bag and Ivy & Bean chapter books.  I also ordered the same books for myself so that we can read them together, talk about them and maybe even face time while reading from time to time.  I did get to FaceTime with her!  Nut!

One of the hardest things about this move has been leaving my nieces.  If you know me, you know I am obsessed, I love them like they are my own…I want to squeeze them everyday!  I can’t wait til they can come visit!

And tomorrow will be just as bad as it is the family matriarch’s Birthday!!  My beautiful, loving, amazing mother!  Happy Birthday, mama!
